¿Antropoceno?

Anthropocene?

A tale of two tables, or are they three?
Is Anthropocene another bad idea?
Three philosophers, Bruno Latour, Graham Harman, Timothy Morton, write and talk about the deranged human-centred imperialism of knowledge. All three claim that art and philosophy should take the front seat of the ecology of mind. Not science, and not politics as usual.

Sir Arthur Stanley, Eddington (1928): «I have settled down to the task of writing these lectures and have drawn up my chairs to my two tables. Two tables! Yes, there are duplicates of every object about me-two tables, two chairs, two pens.»

Graham Harman (2012): To put it bluntly, both of Eddington’s tables are utter shams that confuse the table with its internal and external environments, respectively. The real table is in fact a third table lying between these two others.

¿Antropoceno?
