Alexandra Bellissimo es una joven artista de Los Angeles, California. En 2011, ha recibido su B.F.A. en fotografía del Art Center College of Design en Pasadena, California. En septiembre de 2012, tuvo su primera exposición individual en la Galería Kopeikin en Culver City, CA. Su obra refleja, por el momento, una evidente cultura de diseño de moda, a la vez que transporta su imaginario a la época de la fotografía experimental de las primeras vanguardias del siglo XX. El toque de diseño en sus fotografías resultantes de elaborados procesos de colajes y de edición digital, les da una bienvenida aura de optimismo visual. Se siente en estas imágenes una atmósfera poética. El modo onírico como funde los cuerpos con la naturaleza, cuando tanto hablamos de los daños causados por el hombre, no escapa a ninguno de nosotros y quizá por eso, a pesar de haber echo su primera exposición en 2012, ‘Simulations’, ‘Metamorphosis’, las dos series de obras que viene desarrollando, viajan por la Red a la velocidad de luz.

Alexandra Bellissimo is a young artist from Los Angeles, California. In 2011, she received her B.F.A. in Photography from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. In September 2012, she had her first solo exhibition at Kopeikin Gallery in Culver City, CA. Her astonishing photographs deflect, for the moment, an obvious fashion design flavor, while carrying our imagination to the great photography moment of first experimental vanguards of twentieth century art. The design touch in her photographs resulting from elaborate processes of ‘collage’ and digital editing, gives them a visual aura of welcome optimism. You can feel in these images a poetic atmosphere. The dreamlike way they merge bodies with nature, when so many call our attention to environment damage caused by man, is unavoidable to any of us and maybe that’s why, despite having cast her first exhibition in 2012, ‘Simulations’ and ‘Metamorphosis’, the two series of works that Alexandra Bellissimo is developing so far are traveling the Web at light speed.
