Bread workshop @ Spike Island

One of the French words for friend is ‘copain’ which, when broken down, translates as ‘co’ meaning ‘with’ and ‘pain’ meaning ‘bread’. Designer Alexandre Bettler (Modern Activity) and local baker Mark Newman (Mark’s Bread) lead this hands on workshop in bread making and design communication.

During this workshop you will discuss ideas of how bread can be used to connect with communities and support local economies. You will make your own loaf of soda bread, changing its function from a simple food to a gift you share with a friend.

No experience required, just bring your hands and ideas!
All ingredients and materials supplied.
